1 Timothy 6:6-12 (KJV)
Have you ever wondered what people are living for each day, when we are among others in the city, shopping, eating, driving around?
How many of them are content with what they have, how many of them are interested in the truth of life and this world? How many are just living simply to fulfill their lusts and vain desires?
Well, these scriptures in 1 Timothy really hit the nail on the head when it comes to the nature of mankind. Let’s look at the full passage:
1 Timothy 6:
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 Having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
_
This is the famous passage about the love of money being the root of all evil; notice, it isn’t money that is the root of all evil, it is the love of money. Yet, also, look at how those who will be rich will fall into temptation and a snare.
The desire to be rich in this world, with money and materials, with wealth and stature, drown men in destruction and perdition! Still, that is what most people are living for isn’t it.
Being rich, having a lot of money, having a lot of things, having power over other people, these are the goals of most people living in this world. These are the goals of most people going to these modern new age Christian churches too.
Destruction and perdition is likely their end, yet it is worth it to them, cause they are foolish and not born again in the Spirit of Truth.
Godliness with contentment is great gain! How many people believe this simple truth?
People simply want to pretend they can have both, riches with money and stature, and also contentment and faith, yet how is that working for them?
The truth is apparent when we see people who have money, status, power, and fame. They are not good people, they are not humble people, they are almost always prideful sell-outs who think continually only about themselves.
Unfortunately, these are the people lifted up in our culture, as the workers of iniquity socially engineer our society in order to corrupt our faith and morals, in order to drown us in destruction and perdition.
Look at the sports stars, how they are sold out, how they never say a word that isn’t scripted and in accordance to their money masters. Look at the musicians, the actors, the politicians, the social media creators — all self-censored and sold out to the hive mind agenda, in order to profit and be rich.
It may seem these people are living well, are happy, are content, yet are they? Are they rich in reality, or are they blind, naked, poor, and miserable and don’t even know it?
The illusion, the fakeness, the false pretense they show the world, is only a perception they want us to believe, one that will profit them in this world.
Now let’s look at what this passage is telling us who believe, us who have faith in the Word of God and want to follow it and not the world.
It is telling us how to be rich in reality, how to be content with what we have, and what to follow after instead of what this world has to offer; namely, righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness.
If we are trying to live with godliness and have contentment with what we have, what else matters? Even if we are working as a janitor and barely getting by living in small studio, if we are content and have godliness, we have great gain!
Great gain!
Now imagine these vain, prideful, and neurotic sports players making 10 million each year, yet all they want is more money. And what do they do with their money? They do nothing with it except spend it on themselves and give it to the rich through false charities and investments. They essentially do nothing with it, except spend it on themselves.
Are they content? Are they blessed with content and humble children and spouses? No, my friends, they are miserable, naked, and poor, and don’t even know it.
The rich in this world live miserable lives with people they don’t trust or respect, yet you would never know it, cause they portray themselves in a false way, in order to be seen by others in a way they feel is going to benefit them. This is they way of the modern world.
The people who are really rich, who have great gain, are those who have godliness with contentment, who follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness.
And because they are following these things, you will never see them in front of you in the hive mind, as they don’t fit the typecast for the social engineering agenda.
The blind are leading the blind, and they will fall into a ditch, they are going towards destruction and perdition, of their souls. So, let them enjoy their temporary pleasures with their wicked hearts full of fear, cause it is all they get, it is their portion.
As for those who have the faith of Jesus Christ, we will enjoy the true riches and have great gain the rich of this world can only dream about, and after this temporary world cursed with sin and death, we will have eternal life with our loving Creator.
