The Fear of God is the Beginning

Do we fear God?

Ask most so-called Christians if they fear God, and listen to what they say. It is a great way to see if someone is really a true Christian.

Most people who say they are Christian will say they don’t fear God, which means they haven’t even begun the Christian walk or journey.

The Holy Bible is clear that the fear of God is the beginning. Without the fear of God, there is no respect, there is no submission, there is no faith.

Proverbs 1:7

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 9:10

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Proverbs 14:27

The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

Proverbs 15:33

The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.

Proverbs 16:6

By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.

Proverbs 19:23

The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.

Matthew 10:28

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

These are only a small portion of the scriptures that speak about the fear of the LORD. When LORD is capitalized, it is talking about the one God, the Creator, the author of the Holy Bible, Jesus Christ.

Do we fear God?

It is such a great question to ask, cause it tells us a lot about someone who claims to be a Christian.

How can we be a believer and follower of Jesus Christ and not fear the LORD?

If we don’t fear God, then we won’t listen to Him, we won’t obey His Word, we won’t submit to His instruction and wisdom. If we don’t fear God, we will take away and add to the Word of God, we will twist the scriptures to our will — sound familiar?

If someone doesn’t fear God, then who and what do they fear? Mankind? Losing their life in this temporary world? Losing their status, materials, and money in this world?

Exactly, and what we fear the most is what we will submit to.

That is why most people will submit to the coming mark of the Beast, cause if we don’t, the NWO will threaten and follow through with killing our bodies, taking our materials, status, and money.

Yet, while they submit to the Beast, they will still claim to be Christians cause they don’t fear God and are willing to claim this in vain even when God sees and knows everything.

It is the same reason why they commit sin and iniquity now while still claiming they are Christians, cause they don’t fear God enough to change, to love and seek the Truth.

Philippians 2:12

…work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
